I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture at Mississippi State University. My research interest lie in how emerging technology can be used to address the ecology and conservation of terrestrial wildlife, especially in relation to global change. My current research involves determining best practices for monitoring animals using small Unmanned Aircraft Systems. My past research includes wildlife response to 1) indirect-threats such as changing land-cover, habitat loss, or disease, 2) direct-threats such as structural and aircraft collisions or invasive species, and 3) other inter-related behavioral and ecological mechanisms influencing populations or movement.
